The Name "Gladiatrix"
Here's a little history for female fighting fans....In the old Roman empire the heros and favorites of the common people were the gladiators and charioteers who risked their lives in the amphitheatre and circus maximus. These rough men became the rock stars of their day, hailed and worshipped by the crowds as they fought, raced and died before the eyes of the adoring populace.
And of course they had their groupies, men and women who became sexually aroused by the thought of catering to the coarse sexual needs of these tough battle-scared men. And it came to pass that of all the women in Rome, it was the elegant refined wives of the rich Roman senators who developed the strongest passions for the gladiators. They would sneak off in the middle of the night, and by bribing a trainer be admitted into the gladiator's cell for a night of sweaty animal lust with their favorites.
The most scandalous case involved Eppia, the wife of a rich senator. She developed a perverse passion for an old scarred galdiator named Sergiolus. So much so, that one day she left her rich and powerful husband and ran off with Sergiolus in order to follow him throughout the empire as he went from fight to fight. She became known as "Gladiatrix", the woman of a gladiator. It was considered a great disgrace to her husband and upper-class family, but Eppia didn't care. She was happy with her battle-scarred lover and the world could piss off!
Sounds like our kind of woman, huh?
